Troopers log day 10: Uhg, what a day. I got the little white car working, but blue FINALLY decided that it was too small to carry any sort of usable weight. I kept telling him that all morning, but he wouldn't listen. The car was so small you could even carry it on your back.
Blue suspects that a rare species of dwarfs must live in this area. Why else would the cars be so small? I didn't believe him until I found this bus. It looks like it holds two levels of passengers. Blue thought he saw something like it overseas in Europe. Fortunately the top was open enough so that we could get in it. I hotwired the controls to the top of the bus, as fitting into the lower level is impossible (trust me, I tried). Blue's going to give it a go.
Later: Blue actually drives OK. He took it for a few turns. The bus is really top heavy, and it tipped over once or twice which was scary as heck. It fell on my foot once, but fortunately they make these army boots strong. So far we 1121$22###anm~!qoaioAQAWT3....325
Later: Did it save that already? Oops. Must have typed in stuff when I fell on it. Blue decided that I'm driving from now on. I told him not to go over that rock. Did he listen? Of course not!
Five food rations were crushed into little disgusting pancakes. Blue says we can fry them over a fire tonight, see if they're edible. We need to make sure we don't waste anything. Crumbs! We only have 4 food rations left. Blue asked me to pray to any god I believed in for our survival (blue's an atheist, so he doesn't pray). I did just that. We need all the help we can get, honestly.

Day 9
Trooper log day 9: Had a bit of difficulty yesterday so I wasn't able to enter another log. Found a car yesterday, it's very small but blue says the motor is still working. Spent about 6 hours trying to pull the thing out from underneath a rock. A little dented, but still in good condition. It even has fuel! Blue got the most excited I've seen him in a while. Get this: He jumped (yes jumped) in the air with joy.
Later: blue glared at me when I told him I wrote about his little performance yesterday. He wants to make sure it's clear: He didn't "jump", he elevated himself with his feet to get a better vantage point.
Later: Drive shaft on the car snapped when we turned it on. Since I'm the only one who knows anything mechanical, I had to do the repair work. I asked blue for a Phillips, but he didn't know which one was a Phillips so he brought all of them.
We'll see if this car works...

Day 6
Day 6: Blue said we should try to get a message back to the convoy. I started to write it, but then he told me to record the details of our marooning.
Blue said I shouldn't refer to it as marooning in the logs. Tried to delete it but it wouldn't go. Oh well.
From what I remember (blue admits that he remembers less than I do, it was quite a crash) we left base 003 at 4:00AM. Forgot the date. Think it was 11/30/09. Anyhow we left the base on the Tiger 1 helicopter. Blue was the pilot. We entered the no-man's zone and the something happened to the tail rotor. Blue insists that it wasn't his fault. I think it was a gun shot, but blue doesn't think that any NEM would be out in no-man's land.
Lost control of gyros, so our craft started spinning wildly. Both blue and I lost our lunches more or less simultaneously. It would've been funny if it hadn't been so darn scary.
Later: Blue says I'm wasting too much time writing this down. He wants me to write a message on the ground just in case someone happens across it. I don't think it'll work but no harm in trying.
Later: I wrote the message since I'm the only one who knows how to spell. Blue kept insisting that there was another "e" in "please" but of course he's wrong.

Day 5
Trooper log day 5: Not speaking to blue. I've decided that I'll ignore him until we reach home base. I'd like to be at home base right now. Back with the family, and Senior Officer grunty-beard. Just kidding. That's not his real name, but he looks like Santa Claus and has a temper to match.
Blue says we're even now. Whatever that green stuff was, it did not taste good. Still shunning him.

Day 4
Trooper log day 4: Found strange cliff faces which have perfect grooves cut out of their centers! Blue didn't find it as interesting as I did. I think he's getting senile.
Later: Blue ordered me to delete that last bit. I didn't. He told me that he would book me for usurping the command of a higher-rank officer and that I'd be sent home in "irons". I apologized. He told me apologizing was for wimps.
Later: Had a bit of a scary experience. Tried climbing up the cliffs to see if there was a way out. Someone had laid down a long rope through the middle of the ridges. I went first this time, blue remembered the rappelling incident yesterday. I slipped about halfway up, and blue caught my by my fingers. That HURT. Blue assures me that the fall would've hurt more. I'll believe it.

Day 3
Day 3:
No resources on mountains. Decided to explore strange looking caves. Blue told me that, being senior officer and all, he was entitled to do anything he deemed hazardous. Basically he gets to do the fun stuff. He won't let me do anything.
Later: Blue saw what I was typing in the log and called me a whiny snot. Didn't appreciate that.
Later: Blue decided he didn't like rappelling. I'd feel sorry for him if he hadn't lost his lunch on my boots.

Trooper log 002009411 day 1
Trooper Log 002009411 day 1:
I reconfigured the time settings in my log to count the number of days we have been lost. Actually, today is day 4, but I couldn't set the log back that far.
Trooper 95 (I'll call him "blue") decided to climb the small rock formations in this area to see if there were resources on top of them. Strange rock colors. Never seen anything like them before.
